Methods and Rules for Review

 

1．Methods

The assessment of academic papers mainly adopts the method of “peer review”, i.e., the assessment is conducted by experts in the same or similar fields.

 

2.      Rules

(1) Selection of reviewers: Reviewers should have academic background and professional knowledge in related fields, and should abide by academic ethics and reviewing norms. We would select appropriate reviewers according to the topics and fields.

(2) Review process: The review process should be in strict accordance with academic standards and journal requirements. Reviewers shall complete the review within the specified time and submit their opinions and suggestions. We would summarize and analyze the review comments to determine whether the paper meets the publication requirements.

(3) Review criteria: The review shall be based on the academic quality, innovation, practicality, logic and language expression. Reviewers shall comprehensively and objectively evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the papers and make specific suggestions for improvement.

(4) Avoidance of conflict of interest: Conflict of interest should be avoided in the review process. Reviewers shall declare their interests related to the authors or the papers and recuse themselves from the review when necessary.

(5) Announcement of review results: Review results shall be sent to the authors in a timely manner, including review opinions, suggestions for revision and final decisions. We will clearly inform authors of the reasons for not passing the review and encourage them to revise and resubmit their papers.

(6) Protection for authors’ rights and interests: We respect authors’ rights and interests and intellectual property rights, and ensure that the papers will not be disclosed or misused during the review process. For papers involving plagiarism and other academic misconduct, we would seriously deal with them and call the authors to account.
